Lightbox not working

    Hello,

    I am having a problem getting the lightbox to work. Instead of in a lightbox, they’re just opening on a new page. I’ve searched across the internet and forums and found several people with the same problem, but none of the suggestions have worked from me. Everything is up-to-date. Do I need to install the lightbox plugin separately? Am I missing something really obvious?

    I’m afraid my site is on localhost at the moment, so I can’t provide a link. I’ve tried ‘disable bundled lightbox’ checked and unchecked, have tried checking ‘Include extra theme styles with Jigoshop frontend.css”, have cleared my cache… Nothing seems to be working.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Hi!
    has it stopped after sth was changed?
    Can you try if it works if you switch to default wordpress theme?
    Can you check if you have any javascript errors in console?

    Hi,

    Thanks very much for getting back to me so quickly.

    It hasn’t worked since I installed it. I switched to the TwentyFourteen layout and it works beautifully. Which I guess must mean there’s something wrong with my code?

    However, I’ve checked for javascript errors in console on both Google Chrome (which I’m mainly working on it) and IE (where it seems to be partially working) and it’s not flagging up anything. I’ve also followed the steps here:

    At a loss, although I suppose if it’s working fine in TwentyFourteen there must be something in my code kicking it off kilter…

    Any other ideas?

    If it works in 2014 theme then yes it would be theme related.

    Thank you, both, with your help in identifying that this was theme related, I have worked out the issue. It’s very basic and I should have known better, but I had missed out

    <?php wp_footer(); ?> and <?php wp_header(); ?>

    I’ve added those now and it seems to be working perfectly. Thanks for a great plugin and your help!
