• Hi there,

I use the OceanWP theme for one of my website and I’d like to add a lightbox form for a newsletter.

I past the source code of my lightbox in the header.php but it works only if I delete the following line of the footer :
    <script type=’text/javascript’ src=’http://atelier-echo.net/wp-content/uploads/oceanwp/main-scripts.js?ver=1.5.5′></script&gt;

I tried to disable all the JS in the theme panel without any change. I don’t have the problem with another theme.
Do you have any idea for the problem ?

    Best regards,

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi vincentd – do you mean a popup form for someone to fill out email for newsletter?

You can do that with OceanWP Modal and most form builders. This is how I do it. https://youtu.be/SLrw6wq5VT0

P.S. Lightbox is usually just to display images (enlarge them)

    Hi spirit3soul,

Thanks for your answer. Looks really good.
Yes, I meam popup form. I use the french autoresponder tools SG-autorepondeur.

Just a question, I would like to have the popup automatically open after few seconds anywhere on my website. Is there a way to do this ?

    Best regards,

You’ll need a form builder with a trigger (i.e. trigger 5 seconds after entry). Which page builder do you use? and, if using a page builder is a free or pro version.
If you only need it to popup automatically – you can use MailOptin plugin
If you want some sort of trigger – look at PopBox plugin.
I would also check with the SG Autorepndeur community on plugins they suggest (or maybe their forms already have this capability.

ON A SIDE NOTE – Please strongly consider moving away from automatic popups – google doesn’t like them – and they are irritating to viewers. I really suggest you offer something of immense good value and give it away for free (then they can click on a button to get to the OWP Modal). Whatever your site is about you can put together a one page report on something that your visitors would really like. Consider – how many popups do you actually sign up for that you did not initiate?

I will try these plugins. Thanks.
I had a look on the SG-Autorepondeur community and they talk about PopupAllu plugin or Popup Maker. I will have a try.

    Thanks for your help.

Your welcomed – I’d be cautious on PopupAlly as it has been updated in over a year.
P.S. when you’re reviewing – triggers are also sometimes called conditions.
