@mancinoa – We bundle the Lightbox libraries with NextGEN Gallery as a convenience, modifications to the extent you are describing would generally be outside the scope of support we offer for the plugin as it would be changes to the library you would be making.
I would suggest looking into the Shutter Lightbox library to see how best to apply these changes.

Oh I see, Ok what about if I buy the next gen plus plugin ?
Do you know if that shows better ? and if not have different support ?

@mancinoa – We bundle the NextGEN Pro Lightbox with NextGEN Plus, it is a different Lightbox library and does offer more options … have a look at the Demo page here: http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/pro-lightbox-demo/

and thanks for the prompt reply. It’s appreciated.
the lightbox effect definitely looks better, but ( and I am sorry if I am being a pain) will I still get the thumbnails like in the basic gallery which have the border around and a little padding? I like when the thumbnail have the border and white padding so it looks like each image is in its own box.
