  • There is probably a ton of solutions, but here is one I have been using for a while with the occasional YouTube video. I think It works quite well for both images and videos. It might be worth a look.

    I like that! Do you think it would work with videos that aren’t in YouTube? I am trying to add this effect on a Blog that already has it’s own video files. I want users to be able to click on a screenshot of the video and then have the video play in a box (similar to iBox) at 600×400 or so. It’s for instructional music lessons and needs to be large. Thanks!

    I don’t see why not, just adding rel=”ibox” and a title tag to the player link should do the trick. The documentation says you can use it to frame documents and web pages as well. I would read the documentation completely, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. If not, I’m sure there are probably others that will. Good luck.

    Thank you for posting the “ibox” link. After several failed attempts with other hyped-up WP plugins I was getting frustrated. ibox worked right off, and allows more customization than some of the other plugins.
