    Hi,

what’s is the initial bulk limit? I read the FAQ but was not sure if the first bulk conversions are free or if for those there’s also the 500 limit.

I have a 5year old website with lots of images, says like 200-300 images. Now if these would be sent to the API, and let’s assume 5 different images scaling sizes, then this would be 1000-1500 images. So clearly above the 500 limit.

What’s the best approach here? I think it would be great if the first bulk edit of past images was free, I do not know the service yet and am not sure if I will really use it.

If it keeps its promises, then yes, but I would like to try first. Happy to pay even afterwards, but not sure I wanna do it upfront without knowing much about the quality in real longtime scenarios…

Hi Gerd, you can just try compressing some images from the “Media library” and see the results. If you are happy you can then run “Bulk optimization” with the 500 limit still in place. If things go well you can remove the limits and compress your entire library. Those first 500 compressions are free, if you view the bulk optimization it will also calculate the maximum costs.

In case you are scared it can always be wise to make a backup of your media library by copying the files from “wp-content/uploads” to a safe location before you run the bulk optimization.

    Hope this helps!
