Hi @khahina,
Can you tell me how many visitors you’ve had in the past three months? 99MB seems way too high for three months of usage. A bug could’ve caused this.
We are working on a solution where we can archive & compress data, without loss of data.
Kind regards,
Hessel

the table add 1Mo / day .
How can i limit this ? how to limit the statistic to 2 or 3 months ?
Hi @khahina,
At the moment we don’t have a way of limiting this. After we finish the next big feature ‘Goals’. Our highest priority is to add a way of (automatically) archiving the data and this will also include optimizing the database size.
I’m sorry we can’t help make the database smaller without deleting data at the moment.
I hope you can wait for the release of the database optimization. I can send you a beta version when it is ready. Just let me know.
Kind regards,
Hessel
i can’t try beta version, it’s for a customer web site.
i will survey his database but 1Mo /day the database will soon full.
Can i delete first rows (id 1 to 10000 for exemple) directly in database without risk ?
Hi @khahina,
Yes, you can delete the rows without risk breaking the site, but the data will obviously be lost.
You could export the rows first and import them when we have finished the improved database structure.
Kind regards,
Hessel
Why don’t you normalize your records in the database? There are a couple of text fields in wp_burst_statistics that could easily be transferred to another table (and joined when necessary). For instance entire_page_url or referrer.
After a relatively quiet Pentecost (Pfingsten / Pinksteren) weekend on my website, I can already see some table growth (as a new user). When I extrapolate that to a period of 10 years, the tables will become substantial.
Hi @defensiefotografie,
We do plan on normalizing data. Also, we are planning to aggregate and archive data. We just haven’t found the time. We do realize this is an issue that needs to be addressed very soon.
Kind regards,
Hessel
