It seems your picures are not equal in size. Thus, when the next slide moves on top, part of the previous one still shows.
An option you may consider is to create a white canvas the width of your header, and position each image [one by one] just the way you want them on the canvas.
Save each ‘new’image [same name and place as the original] and all should be fine.

Another question for you….there is a big blank space on my home page….Id like to fill that space…a newsfeed would be great! Do you know how I could get/put a newsfeed feature there?

I’m sorry but as you are using a commercial theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s vendors.
Did anyone have to add a different gallery? The thumbs are all going in a row with no arrow nav – kind of hard to put into words, but I am having difficulty getting any help on the theme forum and am getting close to my deadline here.
Basically, on the slider, if you have more than 7 images the thumbs go into rows rather than having arrows:

I realize I bought the wrong theme for the project but have spent too much time to begin again. Anyone know offhand what I am missing. I am hoping it is a simple short-code addition.,
