    Hi,

    The plugin removes line breaks from text areas, would it be possible to leave these in? It would make the PDF easier to read.

    We have checked this issue.

    When you enter text in the textarea, line breaks will only be reflected in the PDF if they are manually added while typing. Otherwise, the content is rendered in the PDF in the same format as it appears in the system.

    This is the expected behavior of the current PDF rendering format.

    Hi Christopher,

    Thanks for looking into this. I’ve tested this on a blank WordPress install and it works as expected. The set up i have also uses a plugin to create a multi step form : Ultra Addons for Contact Form 7. this also has a PDF add on which is inactive but it might be causing the issue.

    Hi Christopher,

    I’ve had a good look into this. I’ve tested on a blank WordPress install with only the twenty twenty five theme, WPCF7 and your plugin

    Line breaks in text areas are removed when the ‘PDF Message body’ contains any HTML tags in the wp-cf7-send-pdf settings. if this contains no HTML tags then the line breaks are preserved.

    Here’s some screen shots of the settings, the contact form and the produced PDF files:
