• Not sure exactly how to make my link formatted post look like this example.

The demo page mentions something about custom fields will allow you to add a link, but I don’t see that option in the backend.

The only thing I was able to do was tick off “Link” under the post format.

  • Hi offpeakdesign. The “Link Format” post is only available in the theme version on the theme website. This is the reasoning as stated on the website:

Note: The version of Hueman available on ww.wp.xz.cn is a “lite” version, and does not include sharing buttons, basic shortcodes and some other things as it is seen as plugin territory.

What if I wanted link format posts to link to external links from the post index page? Is there a way to do this?

You could copy content.php to a child theme and add the anchor tags with the links. The code in that file contains several anchor tags that you could use as examples. Here’s another reference.

Thanks, bdbrown. Prior to your suggestion, I used a post/page redirect plugin to do this and it seems to work fine. Not sure if there are issues with using redirect. Like triggering any kind of browser protection.

I’m not aware of any, but I’m not a redirect guru by any means.
