how do you link the images to each product when you perform an XML import?

Each product should be in its own record, and that record should have the product images listed. Please see our documentation here (the video should be helpful): https://www.wpallimport.com/documentation/images/overview/.

If you have trouble setting it up, just replicate your import on a debug site at http://wpallimport.com/debug and open a ticket at http://www.wpallimport.com/support/ with the details.
