Link Preview Not Working

Hi,
For Some days there is an issue wherein, Telegram is not able to show Image Previews.

But, Image Preview is visible on WhatsApp.

Also, Yoast has properly inserted the open graph meta tags and I can see my image link in the og:image meta too, so then why I am having such an issue.

Please help me with this.

@qph9697 We checked on the page and confirmed that the Open Graph tags are being output correctly. If you clear your cache (server, plugin/theme, or CDN such as Cloudflare) does this resolve the issue? If you are not sure how to clear your server cache you should speak with your host provider.

Hi,

I have same issue, sharing post in whatsapp, without preview.

@devnihil I already cleared Cloudflare and Varnish cache. Didn´t help.

@qph9697 How did you fixit?

Sharing in Facebook shows image preview, but linking from Twitter don’t shows preview.

Yes, it worked, maybe it was due to Cloudflare cache.

How did you fixit?

Hi, @arlinaite, at first I too had an issue with WhatsApp image preview.

I resolved it by “disabling the HTML minify”. If you are using any caching plugin then disable the HTML minify option.
HTML minify strips off the quotation marks(“”) in the og meta tags, which caused the issue in my WhatsApp image preview.

And for Telegram, as instructed by @devnihil, I 1st purged my plugin cache (I am using w3tc) from my wp-admin. Then, I manually deleted my cache from the wp-content folder(FTP) and purged everything from Cloudflare CDN.

And in the end, it worked.

Still struggling, didn’t work for me…

Is not a issue with W3TC setting because I have it in a stage site, and the stage site shows the preview, when I share in Whatsapp.
I disabled temporary W3TC, didn’t work.

I clear several times Varnish and Cloudflare cache and didn’t help either.
Can be something about the content security policies? or some server blocking?

Hi,

I made a news website with NEWSCARD WP theme and I have installed the only 4 plugin which is YOAST, WP-SPINNER, WP ALL IN ONE MIGRATION, and WP-Rocket. The issue is when I am trying to share any news link to any social media page it does not show any preview just show the domain name.
