Link shortener

I noticed in the changelog and in the main plugin file, links should be shared with bit.ly automatically (at least on twitter) but this isn’t working for me. How do I implement this? Would be great with all the shared links were shortened with bit.ly, preferably hooked up to a personal bit.ly account too
