Link style not reflecting css

The “contact us” link–top left of page in gray bar–is not reflecting the style I’ve assigned to it. I’ve styled it so that the pseudo-classes “link” and “active” are white, yet it seems to be picking up the styling for “nav_main.”

It works fine in straight html (outside of WordPress), and also if I put a dummy link in the a tag (# instead of the permalink).
