Hi @fourir
Can you please go to Ultimate member > User Roles and make sure “Can edit their profile?” is checked for that particular user role.
Thanks

Hi Thanks for you response,
unfortunately that was never the issue because I had already checked that option. I created a link on the menu bar that I want to link to the ‘Edit Profile ” tab but when I click on the link it simply returns to my home page.
@fourir
I recall asking about this a while back… try this:
https://website.com/user/?um_action=edit
Hi @fourir,
Please use this link format http://www.yourdomain.com/user/?um_action=edit
Please also make sure that your user page has /user URL.
Regards.

hello
perhaps the problem is with the WP Capabilities for the users
I went to Ultimate member > User Roles > Wp Capabilities and noticed that the only checked item on that list is “read” . I am afraid of checking other items because I am not sure of the consequences. Please tell me which of these should be checked.
@fourir
What is this “Wp Capabilities” section you are referring to? I do not have anything like that under:
Ultimate member > User Roles >
I have a separate plugin to manage WP Capabilities, and can confirm that havig just the Read permission is correct for a standard user
Have you checked:
Ultimate member > User Roles > [ROLE] > General Permissions
– Can edit their profile? [tickbox]
