Hello basdebruin,
Make sure that your post’s featured image is larger than 150 x 80 pixels to meet LinkedIn’s minimum size requirement.
You can try posting the link directly in linkedin, if your featured image is valid then it will appear on the post.
Please check it ,and let us know if any issues.
Thank you.
Hello @anjali94

It shows up fine if uploaded to LinkedIn driectly

hello basdebruin,
Could you please post the link directly in LinkedIn , if the content of your post and image is appeared as preview ,then it will be accessible to the plugin also, otherwise there may be some security reasons that prevent LinkedIn from fetching image from your site.
when i tried to post the link babid-management directly to LinkedIn ,preview not generated ,instead it displayed a message as “Cannot display preview”. So please check it.
Thank you.
Hi @anjalixyzscripts
Ohh ok, I think I userstand what you want me to test. If I copy/paste the link directly into LinkeIn (new post) I also get the message “Cannot display preview”. Any idea what can cause this?
Thanks
Hello basdebruin,
It may be that LinkedIn’s request timed out or your website or any WordPress Security Plugins you are using may be blocking LinkedIn from pulling the content.Try again after deactivating such plugins and also make sure that the content not located on a protected directory or website.

Thank you.
Hi @anjali94
I spent a lot of testing on this. Conclusion: LinkedIn will show “Cannot display preview” if I copy/paste a https link. If I try to copy/paste the http variant LinkedIn will show the same “Cannot display preview” message. HOWEVER: this is due to LinkedIn caching.
If I create a new post (new permalink) with the same content and copy/paste the http link in LinkedIn directly, LinkedIn previews fine.
The permalinks of my posts are all set to http:// but it looks like the plugin posts the https:// variant.
Any idea?
Hello basdebruin,
There is no such issues, if there is a change from http to https then the plugin would be able to handle it. Could you please re-authorise the app from the plugin’s settings page and try again with a new post .
If the issue persist you can send your wp details to [email protected] ,then we can check it for you.
Thank you.
