LinkedIn Preview still shows FacebookOG meta data, although I disabled OG from the yoast plugin.

Weird thing is that I can still find “property og:title Dein persönliches Fitnessprogramm – Gym Performance”

even though it shouldn’t be there anymore.

How can I disable (or at least change) OG data once and for alL?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello Gymperformance,

Thanks for reaching out regarding the Open Graph meta tags on your site. Can you please share how you disabled it? This should be done in WordPress > Yoast SEO > Social > Facebook > Facebook settings > Add Open Graph meta data > Disabled.

That’s exactly what I did, but I could still see the og tags in the source code.

I now disabled and re-enabled the plugin. Seems to work now.

    question:

if I activate OG again, what exactly will show up?
where can I define what og title etc will be?

    Thanks for the feedback.

Enabling the feature will make Facebook and other social media display a preview with images and a text excerpt when a link to your site is shared.

You can define the og:title when you edit the page/post under the social tab in the Yoast SEO metabox.
