I’m trying to add html code for links however the text email does not show in the test emails. Any idea on how to add links?

You need to make sure that your emails are being sent in HTML mode. Also check your HTML. Links work fine in my testing. I need more information if you are still experiencing issues.

For sure HTML is on and my HTML mark up is correct.
