I was trying to use the link and when I did I got a menu that ask for the Destination URL and the title.
It entered the following in to the in the code.
<a href="http://smu.gs/1tLidwQ" title="Reunion Photos"></a>
But when I go to the page for this there is nothing. No title, no URL link.
I think what I was expecting was the title to be there with the ability to click on it and get my URL page to come up on another tab.
Is there a problem here or do I misunderstand how it is suppose to work?
hmm.. maybe it’s me who’s misunderstanding. Maybe if i log out and try as a guest it will work that way(and that’s a whole new issue)..but as of right now it’s basically like just a text of a web adress and if you higlight and open in new tab it works fine(for me). But i want it to be a link to just click.
yeah same thing as a guest. http://www.kongregate.com/games/EffingGames/effing-worms?tab=achievements
i want it to be a link but its just text i have to copy/paste or open in new tab…but if i do that it works fine
Solved.. yeah it was all just plugins…i read so many post about so many problems caused by these plugins which are installed and activated by default but i said “nah, can’t be that because i just started using all of this fresh and brand spanking new today”….apparently the first thing to do when you start using WP is to disable ALL plugins.
So now when you hit link it ask you for a destination URL and a title? The title is displayed and if you click on the title it will fetch the link?
When you look at the code does it look like this?
Sorry it is serious about the back quotes
<a href="http://smu.gs/1tLidwQ" title="Reunion Photos"></a>
