List categories without <br>

    Maybe I’m searching for the wrong question.

    Can someone tell me how I can list out the categories on a single line?

    Much like “<?php the_tags(‘Tags: ‘); ?>”.

    I looked at the codex for list categories, but it’s not too clear on how to do this.

    Anyone please?
