List widget from a category

That shortcode is a wrapper for the events list widget (if you are using only The Events Calendar) or the advanced events list widget (if you have also installed and activated Events Calendar PRO) – only the latter supports filtering by categories.

Might that be the reason behind this – or do you have PRO activated?

I’m sorry to hear that. It works as expected for me so I’d need some more information:

• Details about how you are using the shortcode and a link to the matching event category archive page would also be great
