Listings default search is malfunctioning

    When I search for properties on the site, the search defaults to categorizing properties under the “for sale” category. So, if I look for a property at a location that does not fall under that category, but does fall under another category (“for lease” for example) the search says there are no results until you go back and remove the category. Sometimes, it only works if you select a different category, then remove it – THEN it pulls all available searches for that location.

    How do I change it so there is no default category option and searches are working correctly? I don’t want customers thinking there are no property listings available in that city/location when there are.

    Your page has a predefined search – you have For sale (only!) on that page. The search works properly as it is supposed to search only within this category.

    If you want it to search only locations and disregard categories, you need to clear the predefined “for sale” category field.
