I would love to now how the default WordPress gallery is better so I can improve the plugin. I just pushed out another big update. If anything, Envira is much, much faster for the display.
Would you reconsider your 2-star review?
@cavias:
I would also love to hear your reasons – seriously!
I for myself try to avoid the built-in gallery because it’s a hassle every time I or one of my clients trying to make something out of it. It’s just an inflexible system, very limited.
I can only recommend Envira – lite or pro. It’s a well developed system that just works perfectly – from my experience.

For me Envira Lite ist just another gallery, I cannot see an adavantage to
Wordpress Gallery. Very often I have many images that need a
Caption/Metadata. and I don’t like to edit each image in a separate Overlay. I’m impatient 😉
Wordpress Gallery makes this a little bit more pleasant.
In this regard Nexgen Gallery is better, but it’s too big. So now I use the WP-Gallery with “WP Gallery Custom Links” and “Responsive Lightbox” but I would prefer to use just one Plugin.
At this moment I cannot see an insentive to buy the
Pro-Version. Let me know when I’m wrong or have overlooked something.

Thankyou for your commitment.

I agree that I can make the metadata editing experience better and more refined. Is the plugin still worth a 2-star review though? Surely it is not that bad!
Thanks for your feedback and change. I will be working to make the metadata editing experience much more convenient in a future update!
