    Basically i need a page front side where all members of my website can go to simply copy&paste a youtube url in a box and type a short description which comes to the back end for me to review – so some type of video embed submission plugin

    i also was hoping to have a similiar page where my contributors can actually upload media and write articles for the actuall blog – front side

    anybody help i been looking for hours with no joy

    AFAIK this cannot be done on the frontside and I am not sure why you would want to – the access to the menus on the back side are limited by roles.

    It is not possible to upload or post in WordPress without access to the dashboard.

    But how about setting up a an actual post, make it a sticky or put the permalink info in a text widget where it can be easily seen. You could have instructions, etc. When they comment on the post, they can put the link and description. Have settings set for all comments to come to you for approval.

    Actually, this can be done with existing plugins; example search front end upload.
