Sorry for the late response.
Well, it seems the input field style is conflicting with your theme. Have a look: https://d.pr/i/XQc0W1

To prevent this issue, you can add this custom CSS on your stylesheet:

input#betterdocs-search-field {
    margin-bottom: 0px !important;
}

.betterdocs-searchform {
    padding-bottom: 15px !important;
}

I can see that you’ve added a CSS(padding-bottom) set as 0 on your stylesheet. So you need to replace it with that 15px; per my second CSS.
