i’ve installed livechat woocommerce plugin and it looks like wordfence may be blocking service. I’m getting a message when clicking on the settings for plug-in “Requests to the server have been blocked by an extension”. My assumption is that I need to open something on firewall on wordfence but not sure. Don’t see anything that shows that app or port is being blocked.

    Hi @ntdconsulting,

This sounds like it could be a Learning Mode situation where we need to inform the Firewall that running the live chat plugin on your pages is a normal action.

From the Wordfence Dashboard click on Manage WAF. Then you will see Basic Firewall Options > Web Application Firewall Status. Change the option to Learning Mode. Now load up the pages that were causing problems. This will help Wordfence learn that the live chat plugin is normal and it will allow it in the future. After you have finished performing the actions you need to, switch the WAF from Learning Mode back to Enabled and Protecting. Now test to see if these actions work correctly.

https://www.wordfence.com/help/firewall/learning-mode/ is an amazing resource for learning more about the WAF and learning mode.

Let me know if that doesn’t work and we’ll take a look at whether there are any other plugin conflicts.

    Thanks,

    Peter.
