LMS Lifter Recurring payment issue

Hi,
I have an online Yoga website using LMS Lifter for my courses. My students often use recurring payment plans using Paypal in LMS Lifter. I am using version 2.7.12. My issue is that although the first payment comes out in the currency I have requested (in this case UK£ and AU$ the recurring payments reset to US$ which creates the wrong pricing. Has anyone else experienced this using LMS Lifter and have you found anyway to get around it.
What I’ve done so far:
-Called Paypal 3 times but they suggest it’s a fault in the Plugin coding
-Contacted LMS Lifter- they suggested I update my version to the latest version but this presents financial and tech issues at this stage of my business. I’m a new business and has spent most of my funds on setting up the website and social media to support getting out there.

If anyone has any suggestions I’d be grateful to hear them.
