Load external links in Simple Lightbox

    Hi there,
    Is it possible to load external links in simple lightbox or can it only be use to load images?

    I tried
    <a href="http://www.extrenallinkhere.com" target="_self" title="Search Bar" rel="shadowbox"></a>
    but that doesn’t work.
