Load More Entries Issue

I am facing exactly the same issue as mentioned in this post https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/load-more-entries?replies=3

I tried deactivating all plugins and moved to TwentyFifteen theme. Still, I am not able to use the ‘Load more entries’ option. Clicking that does not load more entries.

The option works fine with category pages though.
