This setting is located in Dashboard > Settings > Discussions admin page. There is a dropdown menu for option: “Break comments into pages with [drop-down] top level comments per page”
Not quite what I’m looking for – that setting creates multiple pages for comments with numbered navigation and gets rid of the “Load More” button in this plugin. I want to keep the “Load More Comments” button at the bottom, but shorten the number of preloaded comments.
You should not check/enable the checkbox of this option, disable that option. You should only use the drop-down. Make sure the checkbox for [ – ] “Break comments…” is disabled. This checkbox should be unchecked if you want to use wpDiscuz “Load More” button.
