It works with other themes: Haven’t Tried
It works when I disable all other plugins: Haven’t Tried
    Meta Slider version: 3.3.4.1

The Metaslider on my homepage fails to load roughly once every 100 times. I’ve seen it happen in various browsers and I can reproduce it in Chrome by simply refreshing countless times in a row (or clicking the logo which does the same but faster). Sometimes it takes forever to occur, but trust me, the problem is there.. In my computer logic, if it works once it should always work, but this seems like a lottery. Changing themes is not an option for me. I haven’t tried disabling other plug-ins, but again, if it works once, why shouldn’t it work every time? When it fails to load, my cursor has this loading-icon, indicating it got stuck somewhere in the process. Usually the slider will appear after a while but the cursor will still have this loading-icon. There’s only one little piece of custom CSS that applies to the slider, which is a negative value for margin-top, otherwise not much is going on.. What can I do? I’ve seen it fail with people on their first load, which really makes a lousy impression..

  • Hi there,

Without doing a full analysis of the website it would be difficult to pin-point what’s causing the occasional failure.

A good place to start would be to examine the site’s resources, in particular those that are hosted on third party servers as these can sometimes fail (for various reasons) and then consequently cause an error on the page.

Things like third party scripts, tracking, analytics etc…

Try running google’s PageSpeed tools to determine which resources take longer to load and if any fail.

Also use the web console to see if there is a error reported on the occasions where the page fails to load.

    Thanks,
    Dave
