Loading slow, even after cache

    My site is loading very slowly… My browser sits on the initial “Connecting” state for about 5-10 seconds before anything even begins to load.

    FIrst, I checked on the forums and tried a few of the cache plugins out there, but saw no change. I also created a static HTML document on my host with some large images to see if it was a problem with my hosting package, but that loads very quickly. Seems like every page on my site (including admin pages) load very, very slowly.

    Is there anything else I can check to improve load speed?

    –try contacting the hosting provider if they have any other problem at their end. It’s possible its a slow server for various reasons.

    -try deactivating ALL plugins temporarily. If the problem goes away, activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the culprit responsible for slowness
