    Hello.

It seems that Complianz blocks local storage before cookie consent.

According to quick research, it seems local storage is indeed included in GPDR.

But the plugin doesn’t allow management for local storage and hardly mentions it.

    My case:

I use Tidio, which uses local storage to record the state of the chat (open/closed). I believe this can be considered functional. Complianz blocks the use of local storage, and therefore the Tidio chat doesn’t show up until cookie consent is given. There doesn’t seem to be a place to define the local storage record set by Tidio as “functional”.

In other words, as far as I understand, Tidio can be used without cookie consent – how can I make Complianz respect it?

    Thanks.

    Hi @asafm7,

For the Tidio tool to load without requiring any prior consent, you can navigate to Complianz -> Integrations -> Script Center -> “Whitelist a script” and enter tidio as the “URL to Whitelist”.

    Kind regards, Jarno

    Thanks @jarnovos .

can you expend on how Complianz deal with local storage?

    Hi @asafm7,

If Complianz is configured to block the Tidio scripts before consent is obtained (i.e. by enabling an Integration under Complianz -> Integrations), this would also prevent that blocked script from setting any Cookies or Local/SessionStorage items before receiving consent.

    Kind regards, Jarno
