Localhost for webhost4life

    Has anyone installed WordPress on Webhost4life?

    I’m getting the “Error establishing a database connection” page and have checked the database credentials a multitude of times. It may be that the localhost has to be changed–but I have no idea in what way it needs to be changed.

    I have contacted webhost4life and am still waiting for a reply. Thanks!

    Sometimes in phpMyAdmin you can discern the database server.

    Try their support chat.

    Thank you Michael, I didn’t even notice their Live Chat–there’s no mention of it in the Support section of their site, ha.

    For future reference for anyone else, log into the Control Panel and go to Database. The name listed under “DB IP” is what you should put for db_host because webhost4life doesn’t support localhost. It should look similar to mysql2.ten4onehost.com.
