localhost WP to static HTML

    I installed WP on a localhost using MAMP since my client’s host doesn’t offer any WP capabilities at all. Site is now built but I can’t successfully export the offline wordpress site to static html pages.

    I’ve tried the Really Static plugin and WP static html output plugin but both times there is not css or images in the index, and I get a 404 when clicking on any of the links. I don’t want to put it up live on their site but I do want to be able to send them a draft of their site in html pages so they can view the progress. I’ve spent countless hours scouring the web for help but at this point I’m stumped, anybody able to put me in the right direction?
