Right. I’ll look into it. But if you just want to translate it’s already possible. No need to edit the files directly either with a plugin like Loco Translate.

1. Better quality when each locale takes responsibility for adherence to locale style guide and glossary
2. Faster distribution: As soon as a translation is >95% ready, it will be automatically distributed and any corrections are distributed to the users almost immediately.
3. No need for additional administration and new plugin updates when there just are language updates.
4. Translations will be updated even if the user didn’t update the plugin.
5. Unused language packs are not downloaded: The plugin footprint on each web server will be smaller.
As I see it it’s only beneficial…
