    Hello,

first of all thank you for the great plugin.

I support a German web page and got difficulties with some translations for wp-gotowebinar, especially translations for date/time information in the widget. Some labels and texts are really tricky to translate. Only some of the texts are available over translation tab in the plugin settings. More of them are available if you change translation files or use special plugins for translation purposes.

So my question is, how to change date/time format. Date/time format for wordpress in general seems to have no effect on the date/time representation in wp-gotowebinar.

Another question is, if it is possible to offer all plugin-texts on the plugin settings page, it would make work very much easier to adapt the plugin to other languages or to the need to change texts in general.

    best regards
    André

    Hi @netzkaefer,

You can change the time and date format from the plugin settings.

Translation can be done via the Poedit program – please see the FAQ for more information on this.

Unfortunately there’s so much text to translate and I want to provide a somewhat easy to use experience and maintain performance that it’s best to use the Poedit program to do translation – this is WordPress best practice. We provide some translation settings in the plugin settings as you mentioned for some of the main things, but the question is where to draw the line. Thanks,

    Hello,

thank you for the answer. Okay, so i will use poedit or other translation plugins like “say what” or “loco translate” to change the texts.

That´s right, the date and time formats can be changed via plugin settings, the problem is that you have only 4 date and 2 time formats. I need the German date format, that is dd.mm.yyyy. In plugin settings you have only 9/11/2018; 11/9/2018; 9 Nov, 2018 and Nov 9, 2018. Maybe you can extend the list of formats or give an option to use the global wordpress date/time formats instead.

    best regards.

This date format is available on the pro version already. It will come to the free version when there’s an important update so there’s no ETA for this. Pro users get feature requests and the very latest version of the plugin. Thanks,
