Which version of the plugin are you using? I’ve been running it under v 3.6.6, WordPress v 5.4.1, and PHP 7.3.16 for a couple of weeks.
Did you fill in everything before trying to publish such as meeting date, time, and enter some physical address even if it’s meeting online?
Is the location info a legit address that Google Maps (or Mapbox) can find? For our meetings – even new ones created that are just online, I note in the location field as the name: ONLINE MEETING, and use our convention center for the address. In the location note field have added: This meeting is a newly created online meeting. IGNORE STREET ADDRESS PLEASE.
Thanks for the fast response. I have version 3.6.6 too, and yes I’ve entered all the information (times address etc…), but it the “Publish” button isn’t even highlighted in order to ‘click’ it and though the Save Draft & Preview buttons are highlighted; clicking them gives does nothing. The site uses using Avada, but I don’t think that’s causing the issue.
Please make sure you’ve added an API key for Mapbox or Google.
When you enter the address, it should geocode and then display on the map in the Edit Meeting screen. If that is not happening, it is possibly because you’ve got something wrong with the address, or you have online meeting checked without having a link to an online meeting entered (you still need a physical address regardless).
Please let me know and we’ll go from there.
I double checked to be sure I didn’t have ‘On Line Meeting’ checked. This is new installation of the plugin and so far I have only entered two meetings. In each case, it allows me to enter the Group Name, Day, Time & Type along with the Location name and I can save the draft and publish; however, as soon as I put any thing in the address box the “Publish” button ‘grays’ and can’t be pushed; the save draft & preview button can be pushed, but do nothing. I have used the Location name and address exactly as it is in Google maps to be sure there were no inconsistencies there.
Thanks for sticking with it, I sure appreciate your time help and time.
So is it showing on the map in Edit Meeting?
What addresses, please?
No it is not showing any map.
St. Alban’s Episcopal Church
202 Pontotoc St, Auburndale, FL 33823
Hmmm. I didn’t have any troubles with it. I put just the address in the address field, and the church name in the Location.
Check your API key?
Disable any other plugins, and try again. Occasionally there is a conflict.
That was it! I had to go through the proper steps to set up a Google Cloud Account, get an API key and put in the correct place in Avada (under Theme Options / Contact Form / Google Maps. It works! Thanks
Another question…, is there a way I can edit what the header and/or page says? It just says meeting across the ‘header’ and all I can seem to do is create a link to it for the menu.
I’m not familiar with Avada, but glad it is working for you.
Search these forums for some ideas on how to add a header. We don’t provide a direct method to do that.
