Apologies, I messed-up the link in the above post.
The example of the broken link is:
FYI, just tried creating two new pages:
– blog
– location (child of blog)
But this hasn’t helped.
how about if you create brand new pages and assign those as new event pages? you can call them whatever you want to begin with, reassign them in EM settings, and test them out, just to see if it works.
Then, you can rename the slugs etc. of these pages and make them children of the events page, hopefully it’ll still work.
I’d try renaming your location slugs to something different, e.g. just locations
another alternative, try diabling permalinks temporarily, and visit a location by clicking ‘view’ from your locations wp admin area.
also, try switching to twentytwelve (you can also try disabling plugins if that doesn’t work), resaving your permalinks, and visiting a location page to see if that helps.
Thanks for your suggestions. I played around with this for ages, then I realised that I should just change the ‘locations permalink slug’ to:
blog/location (in order to match the ‘view’ in admin)
Not sure why the location urls are being ‘outputted’ like this – but I didn’t seem to be able to change it, no matter what I tried. (I guess it must be a plugin – I tried removing a few, but didn’t do a full test on this. Trying the default template didn’t help.)
Anyway, all the links now work (even if the url structure is a litte inconsistent – but I can live with that).
Thanks.
