    Hi,

Just checking if there is a bug with the locations page. (The page which displays a list of event locations).

It used to work on my site. Now when the page is selected, rather than the list being displayed, it displays one of the actual individual location pages instead.

I’ve spent two hours checking things out, but I can’t get it to work.

To confirm, in settings > pages > location list / archives, I have a page selected. I’ve doubled checked that page: it exists and the url is fine etc.

The similar categories and tags list pages work.

The reason I think it’s a bug is that changing the “Default list ordering” to the 3 different settings produces 3 different locations to be displayed. Also, if there were a problem with a mismatched url or something, you’d perhaps expect a 404 page error.

All the individual location pages work fine themselves. The location search form works as well.

This is my locations list page:

    Thanks,

    Mathew

did you try re-saving permalinks at wp general > settings > permalink and/or did this happen after you’ve upgraded your EM or it happens instantly without the upgrade?

    Hi,

    Yes, I’ve tried re-saving permalinks.

    I’m using 5.4.4.3.

I’m not sure when it happened. I noticed it yesterday, a few days after updgrading to 5.4.4.3 but it may have been like this for a while, before the upgrade.

Tried reverting back to default template too – problem still happening. I’ll go through my plugins – but it’s quite a task as I have quite a few running.

    It’s another plugin.

I’ve switched everything off apart from EM / EM Pro and Buddypress, and the Locations list now works again.

I’ll find out which plugin is causing the problem and let people know.

It’s WordPress SEO – by Joost de Valk.

I’ll see if I can find out if a settings change with the SEO plugin can fix this issue.

pretty sure WP SEO isn’t the conflict, unless you’ve done something in settings. we test with that plugin on many sites and a large number of users have both plugins installed without a problem.

    I’ve just doubled checked, Marcus.

I copied the whole of my plugins folder and then tested by deleting all of my plugins (even Buddypress), apart from EM and WP SEO. I still had the problem. (Then I deleted WP SEO – problem went away + restored it again – problem came back.)

I’ve only recently installed WP SEO, and I don’t remember changing any of its settings. I’ve just had a look again at the settings and experimented by changing everything I could see that might be causing a problem… but nothing I did made any difference.

But it could still be one of the settings. I’ve not really had a chance to digest how they all work.
