Locks Up Admin and Website when installed

VFB locked-up the Admin area when installed and could not be deactivated. The site could not be accessed by web browsers either. Finally I deleted the plugin files through the cpanel File Manager.
As this is an active client lead generation site I could not shut it down mid-day for experimenting.
Saturday or Sunday evening I’ll have the time to discover more about the problem.
