Hey @andreasson,
Can you please email [email protected] and include your Wordfence.com username and email that’s associated with the account? If so, we’ll send Two-Factor backup codes to the email associated with the account. Please use attn gerroald for the subject, include and link to this thread, and update this thread in case there’s an issue receiving the email.
It’s worth mentioning that when you initially set up Two-Factor on the account you used an app like Google Authenticator to scan the QR code and generate the codes. You might check your phone for an authenticator app like this to see if the codes are being generated there.
Thanks,
Gerroald
Hi Gerroald,
I have got the same problem, I can log into my site using 2FA with the authenticator I registered, but when I try to login into wordfence.com, the code from the authenticator does not work. Passwort and username is ok.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Kind regards
Philipp Hake
Hey @orthobiotix,
If you can also send the information I requested from “@-andreasson” I’ll send you backup recovery codes as well.
Thanks,
Gerroald
Hey @wfgerald
thank you for sending me 2FA backup codes for my Wordfence Central account.
I was able to login to the account and reconfigure 2FA.
Kind regards,
Joeriman
Hey @joeriman,
Thanks for the update, and happy to hear it!
@orthobiotix & @andreasson – I’ve forwarded your codes to the email associated with your accounts as well. Please confirm you’re able to log in once you get a chance.
Thanks,
Gerroald
Thanks for the help 🙂
It works fine now and I even activated 2FA. But before I logged out I logged in with another browser. Just to be sure it worked.

Hey @andreasson,
That’s great!
It’s always better to be safe than sorry.
Please let us know if anything else comes up.
Thanks,
Gerroald
Hi Gerroald,
the same here, I could re-enable the 2FA and everything works fine now.
Thanks for your help.
