Someone already suggested this last year, and I decided to add an option to allow the users to change this for “X” or “Y” reason. Go to the plugin’ settings page and search for an option named “Log storage path” and put the full path of the new directory where you want to keep the logs.
I already discussed this with my co-workers last year and it was decided that this modification was not worth the effort, but it actually makes some sense, I will bring back this suggestion and include it in the list of feature requests.
Please be aware of the modified storage path:
File modified wp-content/sucuri/sucuri-lastlogins.php (old size: 1258, new size: 1418)
and treat them as they were in the default location.
Fixed with changeset 1157463 [1]. We decided not to put the logs in the content directory by default to keep the tests running (it would be time consuming to change all those tests to match the new path) but there was a bug in the code when the old directory was renamed and that is what I fixed with this commit. You can download the development version [2] of the plugin if you want to test the new changes. Thanks for the suggestion.
