Logging Votes issue

It appears as if the vote logging is done with IP address only. In my case, I was testing a poll out from behind a router with NAT and even though a vote was cast from one machine, all machines that subsequently access the poll appear to have voted based on it being the same IP address. Can this plugin be updated to use a combination of a cookie and ip address or some UUID and IP address?
