Hi, do you have Login Lockdown features enabled? If you do, what are your current settings? Have you also whitelisted your IP address?

    Regards

hello thanks for the reply. the lockout setting is set that if a person gets 5 login attempts within 60 mins. the problem I can see is as a results of changing wp-admin or using cookie brutforce login. I have prevented the log in url from being cached yet it is not helping. I cannot whitelist my IP Address as i use vpn in my country and it also blocks all exiting users from login in or reseting password. it sees all credentials as invalid

however, i am not sure what causes the website to finally go off.

Hi, can you carry out this test. Disable all the plugins except ours in one of your sites. Then carry out a test. Tell me what happens?

    Thank you

something seems off. it was working three days ago when i tried again. yesterday, and today, when i enter the url, it shows i am logged in as an admin. i can’t logout, .when i click dashboard, it returns to home. i can’t customise nor access dashboard but i can post new pages etc.

is it a setting i am missing?
i don’t have same plugins or themes on all websites so if the error runs through then i am sure it is not a plugin issueissue

    Hi,

    Please follow these instructions below.

    1) use CPANEL file manager (or FTP) and temporarily rename this plugin’s folder.
    eg, rename from
    all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall
    to
    tmp-all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall

    2) Get your currently active .htaccess file and remove all code which is between and including the following tags:
    # BEGIN All In One WP Security
    # END All In One WP Security

    3) Log into your site using the standard login link – ie, wp-login.php. Then rename the folder back to all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall.

    4) Once logged in you can disable or re-configure the feature(s) which were giving you problems.

    5) And if you want to clear all the settings from the plugin to start from scratch, install the following reset addon. Then once the addon is installed, make sure AIOWPS plugin is deactivated and then run the reset addon in your site. Once the settings are reset in the plugin, enable AIOWPS and start from scratch.

Let me know if the above helps you.

    Thank you

Hi, okay lets try something different. Carry out my steps above but also include the following steps as well.

    – Log into phpMyAdmin and locate the database for the website you are working on. Look for any table entry with the following name aiowps and delete those tables. There should be 6 tables associated with this plugin, in addition to the options settings. There will also be other entries for transients and plugin version etc. The following is a list of tables and entries found in the database.

Note: You might like to check the following URL Remove All In One WP Security Database Tables to learn how to search for the plugins tables in your database.

aiowps_events
aiowps_failed_logins
aiowps_global_meta
aiowps_login_activity
aiowps_login_lockdown
aiowps_permanent_block
commentmeta
comments

-There are other aiowps settings saved in the WordPress “options” table, under the option name “aio_wp_security_configs”. You should also delete the “aio_wp_security_configs” row in the options table.

The above steps will delete the plugin completely from your database and allow you to start from scratch. Then install a fresh copy and carry out a test. Report back with your findings.

    Thank you
