an app company has developed an app for my client’s wp site and they have some issues with the login lockdown feature.

The app authenticates users via a login system on a single server. So when a user triggers the lockdown the single server is banned and no one else can login. Is there a way around this?

The whitelist option isn’t suitable as there are hundreds of people logging in.

    Thanks.

Hi, just for testing purposes can you disable the Login Lockdown feature in the plugin. I am just trying to work out if this is causing your issue?

Hi, another question. Is the single server using a static IP address or a dynamic IP address?

The reason why I am asking is because if one user locks everyone out then that means that the plugin blocking 1 IP address which is affecting everyone login in. As per the following information.

The app authenticates users via a login system on a single server. So when a user triggers the lockdown the single server is banned and no one else can login.

I understand why it’s happening – I was just wondering if there was the issue before and if there was a way around just disabling the lockdown.

Hi, have you tried the whitelist option? If your server is using a static IP then the whitelist feature should work. Give this a try and report back.

    Thank you

That should work in theory but would limit access to the site via a web browser on a desktop. The plugin states: ‘This feature will deny login access for all IP addresses which are not in your whitelist as configured in the settings below.’

I see your point of view. I think for now you will have to disable the Login Lockdown feature. Only until something better comes up.
