Login overlay

Hey there. I’m quite new to wordpress, coming from typo3. Just wanted to know if you could tell me how to realize the style of login-overlay like you have in this beautiful maintenance-plugin. Is there like a plugin which does the same thing to enable for the online version of the page? Looks far better than any login-button somewhere else and the animation and cropping of the page comes in handy.
