• Hello.

    The Site: http://www.oulunpaitapaino.com/

Works perfectly, and login worked last time I checked 16.6.

    Login site: http://www.oulunpaitapaino.com/wp-login.php

Impossible to get in. Cookies are enabled and old caches cleaned. Not related to particular browser or computer.

    Changes made:
    – The server updated PHP from version 5.3 to version 5.4.
    – 16.6. I uploaded a new header image to the theme.

    Already tried:
    – I have tried to clean up wp-config file. Found nothing to clean up.
    – Renamed the plugins/themes/folders with no results to the outcome.
    – Restored a full backup from the server dating back to 1.6. with no improvement to the login page. Login page definitely worked at 1.6.

Any ideas why would the WordPress page suddenly stop responding to my attempts to login and cookie settings?

Sounds like you have a server issue: http://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/cookies-are-blocked-or-not-supported-since-update-to-371/page/3#post-4900877

Server responded very quickly that they don’t have that particular “Varnish” running on their server. They assume the problem could be solved by tweaking the WordPress configuration files. I don’t know where to start ’cause the problem arrived so suddenly without interference. 🙁

Only running plugin on my site is Akismet. Theme is StartPoint from Ink Themes and there has not been any login/cookie problems reported on the forum.

When I changed the StartPoint theme folder name my site just displays blank page and does not change itself to default theme. Could this be relevant?

This isn’t a WordPress issue. It’s a server one. Your hosts may not be using Varnish but they are probably using similar software that needs re-configuring at their end.

Do you use Dreamhost? I’m having similar issues as well.

I apologize. I did post my own thread. I was suggesting that this maybe a dreamhost issue.

Well I’ll be damned. I guess I’m stuck because of my server’s reluctance to help me out.

I’d like to try to move the site to another domain but I don’t have any spare contacts or know-how to try it out. Maybe I’ll find some friend or professional to help me.

It just feels wrong when I did everything right this time and got a site working perfectly. Bad luck with modern technology, once again… 😛
