Login Problems

I’ve tried using the “forgot password” and it tells me “Sorry, that key does not appear to be valid.” So I go into phpmyAdmin and I change it through there. The strange thing is that it doesn’t tell me that my password is wrong, it just leaves me at the login screen. What can I do to login???
