is it possible that once logged into a domain eg perfectcandidatejob.co.uk, users can then jump to another one in the network eg perfectcandidateheadhunters.co.uk without loggin in again untill they close their browser or log out again.

Given that cookies aren’t able to cross-domains, not really. You’d have to log in to every domain.

Thanks for the reply lpstenu, are they classed as different domains though because the paths i’m using are:

    perfectcandidatejobs.co.uk/
    perfectcandidatejobs.co.uk/cv/
    perfectcandidatejobs.co.uk/jobs/
    perfectcandidatejobs.co.uk/headunters/

The physical domains just point at these so could there be a work around? If there is no plugin solution available i’d consider paying someone to write some code or something if it is possible. Thanks again for the reply.
    Mitch.

They are different domains because you mapped them.

    perfectcandidatejobs.co.uk/cv/ is now perfectcandidatecv.co.uk

Right? So that’s no longer the old URL, it’s ONLY the new one.

The only way to do it is to NOT map the wp-admin pages to the mapped domain (there’s an option in the plugin).

Hi thanks for getting back to me, yes thats how i did it, so i’ll go look into that now. I’ll probably be back in a few hours with a headache and no finger nails left but at least I now know where to start looking. Thanks again lpstenu, your a good egg.

OK new update. I have had problems with godaddy and have fallen out with them big time. I wont go into detail about it but I’m fuming and wont be recomending them to anyone.(Rant over)

Just switched to fatcow for my hosting and while the nameservers are updating I want a bit of info please (lpstenu hope you see this).

Same ifo as above What is the best way to set my domains up for the multisite so visitors don’t need to log in everytime they jump between the sites???
    Thanks in advance

The only way to do it is to NOT map the wp-admin pages to the mapped domain (there’s an option in the plugin).

And even then, I’m not 100% sure that’d work, since cross-domain cookies is bad.

The real answer may be ‘Don’t map domains.’
