Logo loads slowly
-
Hi,
I noticed the logo (PNG / 13 KB) of my website loads slowly. When you load my homepage, you first see a rectangle container with a thin grey border before the actual logo image (which has a transparant or no background) is loaded. This has an impact on user experience.
Litespeed cache is using the Advanced presets. When I use lazyload it’s even worse.
When I disable Litespeed cache it loads correctly. I kept Litespeed cache enabled, so you can see for yourself.
Please help
Best regards,
Evert-

@eheijns I see you have Elementor active.
There are a few things you can test.
1) try disabling LazyLoad from Elementor: https://elementor.com/help/image-loading-optimization/
2) LSC has VPI(https://docs.litespeedtech.com/lscache/lscwp/pageopt/#vpi) which enable hight priority(and disable OUR lazyload) for images that need to be loaded when page is shown. Enable the feature and for test purpose you can add logo name( logo2.png ) in https://docs.litespeedtech.com/lscache/lscwp/metabox/#viewport-images and mobile field too.
Tell me your results and we can help you further.
Also, please send a new report(from LSC => Toolbox => Report) and share the ID generated. Thank you-

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
1) I changed the setting Optimized Image Loading in Elementor from Enable to Disable. Then I purged all pages with Litespeed Cache and loaded my homepage in a new privaye window in Brave browser, but it didn’t have any effect.
2) I set Page Optimization > VPI > Viewport Images to ON, Page Optimization > Media Settings > Lazy Load Images to OFF (and Cache > Cache > Cache Mobile to ON.
In the document
https://docs.litespeedtech.com/lscache/lscwp/metabox/#viewport-images
it says “You must have Page Optimization > Media Settings > Lazy Load Images set to
ON“, but I switched it OFF as you said. You said:
…and for test purpose you can add logo name( logo2.png ) in https://docs.litespeedtech.com/lscache/lscwp/metabox/#viewport-images and mobile field too.
I don’t see these fields in the LSC settings…
Anyway, I did all the other settings changes as you said, but it had no effect unfortunately.
I regenerated a new report:
Last Report Number: BKVUFYRX
Last Report Date: 09/10/2025 13:58:37@eheijns hello
These https://docs.litespeedtech.com/lscache/lscwp/metabox/#viewport-images can be found in admin page edit, as meta data.
Page Optimization > Media Settings > Lazy Load Images need to be turned ON for VPI to be active.
Please test with new settingsI don’t understand. I don’t see a admin page edit. Please describe how I get there, like for example “Page Optimization > VPI > Viewport Images”
I tested with Lazy ON and it got even worse. before you see the logo, you see a big grey square for a few seconds.
Anyway, the problem comes from LSC, because when I disable the plugin it’s fine. My settings were different before, but I don’t know which settings have changed. I set the settings according to someone who tested LSC in a Youtube video. These settings must have changed when I used one of the presets (Advanced).
I also have a new ISP. They use their own LS servers for CDN.

@eheijns The metabox from https://docs.litespeedtech.com/lscache/lscwp/metabox/#viewport-images are present in page edit screen.
Now I understand. Below a printscreen. Notice the logo filename.
I changed it to logo2.png. In the mobile field too.
I set VPI and Lazyload to ON and it looks fine now!
@eheijns I cleared browser cache and deleted site data and the logo is loading without gray box.
Is this what you wanted to achieve?@eheijns
hehe 🙂 we wrote at the same time
Now, not to do for all pages this operation please follow these steps:
clear the VPI value for Homepage
Enable cron: https://docs.litespeedtech.com/lscache/lscwp/pageopt/#viewport-images-cron
Check back in a few hours and then a day or so to see which pages are done.
This status of pages done can be found in QC account => your site => Page OptimizationYes, I think it’s resolved. In Chrome browser it looks fine, but in Brave browser for a split second I see “best” in black/white. I think that’s Elementor or theme related.
Thanks very much for your help!
I set Viewport Images Cron to ON. What do you mean with “clear the VPI value for Homepage”?
This is weird. I noticed in the page https://kitesurfinghome.com/spots/ you can still see a grey square??? Other pages seem fine.
I resolved it.
